Product R&D Specialist (Marketing)
Turn market data into product briefs and test product concepts on e-commerce platforms. Use results to guide production, brand and sales decisions.

- Assess demand using e-commerce data, Google Trends and social listening. Track gross merchandise value (GMV), sales volumes, annual and monthly growth, and product life cycles. Use reviews to identify unmet needs, price segments and niche opportunities.
- Compare competing products by design, ingredients, features, packaging and unique selling propositions (USPs). Review actual prices, bundles, gifts, vouchers and flash sales. Map Shopee, TikTok Shop and Lazada channels. Compare traffic from platforms, advertising, affiliates, creators and livestreams. Assess LIBRA’s capabilities against relevant competitors.
- Propose products based on demand data. Prepare product briefs or business requirements documents (BRDs). Include the USP, features, size, packaging, target selling price and maximum manufacturing cost. Review prototypes with production R&D and report to the Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing.
- Run A/B tests of product concepts on Shopee and TikTok Shop before mass production. Compare packaging, images, titles, USPs and prices. Use test listings, landing pages and small advertising trials. Coordinate product trials with consumer reviewers to gather feedback.
- Measure click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, return on ad spend (ROAS), return rates and user feedback. Recommend refinements and whether to proceed with mass production.
- Help develop, test and assess brand and sales strategies after mass production begins. Recommend adjustments based on market results and customer feedback.
What you’ll bring
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analysis or a related food engineering or food chemistry discipline.
- Specialist or Senior Specialist level, with 2–3 years in Product R&D within Marketing, Product Marketing, Market Research or E-commerce Data Analysis. Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, dermocosmetics or household goods is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one e-commerce research tool, such as Metric, Kalodata, FastMoss, Shoplus or LinkShopee.
- A structured approach to comparing competitor prices, traffic, distribution, product portfolios and retail campaigns.
- Ability to run Shopee or TikTok Shop A/B tests. Interpret traffic, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost (CAC) and average order value (AOV).
- Logical, data-based thinking and sensitivity to consumer trends. Communicate business findings clearly to Production R&D. Excel/Google Sheets or BI skills in Power BI/Tableau are an advantage.
