- Translate approved material requests into supplier enquiries with clear quantities, specifications and delivery dates.
- Compare quotations and negotiate within approved terms. Include transport and other purchasing costs in the comparison.
- Gather supplier profiles, COAs and origin records. Arrange sample evaluation with the quality team.
- Issue purchase orders and track delivery dates. Coordinate shortages, rejected materials and replacements with the relevant teams.
- Update supplier performance records and reconcile purchasing documents. Flag supply interruptions before they affect production.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant study in supply chain, business or food technology.
- Ability to read material specifications and compare offers on a consistent basis.
- Negotiation skills and a reliable method for tracking outstanding orders.
- Confidence with spreadsheets, quotation comparisons and supplier files.
- Impartial judgement in supplier selection. Ingredient or packaging procurement experience is useful.
